The Jassy Dean Trust Crew & friends donned their walking shoes on the weekend and took part in the Waiheke Wharf to Wharf to raise money for an Assisting Dog for Charlotte Cleverley-Bisman.
8 year old Charlotte contracted meningitis as a baby, resulting in quadruple amputations. An Assisting Dog will help Charlotte with mobility and companionship in the coming years. Training a dog is not cheap however — Charlotte’s family is looking to raise $20000 — and that’s where the Jassy Dean Trust stepped in.
JDT supporters Debbie Hardy & Nikki Kaye also ran the event, raising around $450 between them with another $600 coming from the JDT Crews efforts.
Trust Chairman also presented the Cleverley-Bisman family with a cheque for $5000 from the Jassy Dean Trust to boost the fund. Well done all those who took part!
