A campaign to purchase new foetal heart monitoring equipment for Waiheke Island run by Waiheke midwives and Vital Wellbeing was given a boost recently when the Jassy Dean Trust donated $5000 to the cause.

The total cost of the equipment is approximately $10,000 and it will enable close monitoring of expectant mothers in the final weeks of their pregnancy. Up until now, this equipment has not been available on the island so travelling to Auckland for regular monitoring was neccesary.
